佛陀入滅後,約有數百年的時間,人們遵守佛陀教誨,不立佛像。到了阿育王時期(B.C. 268-232年),也仍以白象、法輪、菩提樹等來象徵佛陀,之後便有了所謂「貴霜王朝」佛像。由於該時朝佛像融合了印度希臘風格之獨特威儀,令人動容。作者陳克華於二OO七年初前往巴基史坦,在著名的拉合爾(Lahore)博物館及坦叉始羅(Taxila)等地,親眼見到了這些佛像的莊嚴美好,拍出近百幅佛像攝影作品,本館則借此機會邀請展出,另配合展出特別規劃編印多功能小手冊,並委請由致理技術學院陳奕愷教授研究撰文,提供分享。
 



For hundreds of years after Buddha died, people had followed Buddha's teaching – never building a Buddhist statue. However, during the period of Ashoka period (B.C. 268-232), white elephants, the law wheel, and the fig tree (the tree of enlightenment) were brought to symbolize Buddha. Later, there were Buddhist statues of Kusana Dynasty. These Buddhist statues were made by combining Indian style with Greek one. Their unique dignified look is very moving. One photographer Ke-hua Chen went to Pakistan in early of 2007. In famous Lahore Museum and Taxila, he saw these Buddhist statues of Gandhāra Period. He took nearly one hundred photographs of these statues. He is invited to exhibit his work. So his photographs will be displayed in National Taiwan Arts Education Center. In addtion, multi-function pamphlets were published to coordiante with the exhibition, in which Prof. Chen, Yi-Kai of Chihlee Institute of Technology was invited to share his article. 在台灣,退休人口正急速地增加,而且退休年齡也在降低中,這些人大都以從事各種活動來充實他們的退休生活。建國中學英文教師蔡益助先生退休後,便積極投入繪畫工作,雖然從小就夢想要當畫家,但一直苦無時間逐夢,為了圓夢,毅然決然提早退休,十三年來不斷到處作畫,早期的作品以速寫和水彩居多,近年來則熱衷於油畫創作。任何一個人,尤其是退休族,只要對繪畫感興趣,不管有沒有深厚的基礎,都可以像蔡老師一樣拿起筆來畫,從繪畫中來逐夢,逐夢就是快樂的泉源,逐夢就是圓夢。
 



In Taiwan, population of retired people is rapidly increasing. The retirement age is coming down. Most of these people are engaged in various activities to enrich their retirement life. After Jianguo High School's English teacher, Mr Yi-jhu Tsai, retired, he devoted himself to painting. Although he would like to become a painter since he was a child, he did not have spare time to pursue his dream. To fulfill his dream, he decided to retire earlier. For thirteen years, he has continuously painted whatever he travels. In his earlier works, he focused on sketches and watercolour paintings. In recent years, he has devoted himself to oil paintings. As long as people, especially after retirement, are interested in painting, no matter having a good skillful foundation or not, they, just like Mr Tsai, can certainly take their pen or brush to make paintings. Pursuing dreams from paintings is the source of happiness. Perusing dreams is the step to fulfilling dreams.

作者張山枋、蔡來、黃玉菱及沈峰美等四位中,有二位服務於大同公司,二位則是員工眷屬,然因同在大同公司書法班學習而結識,由於在指導老師王耀銘及蔡秋香的耐心指導下,使得有機會逐一涉獵楷、隸、行、草等體例,雖然白天各自均忙碌於工作或家務,但總不忘於晚間、假日用心專研書法。
四人雖屬同門之誼,其作品卻各有特色,張先生呈現出豪放帥氣,尤專長行、草;蔡先生則穏重平實,特長楷、行;黃小姐表現出娟秀有韻,四體皆長;而沈小姐則渾厚樸拙,見長於隸書。
基於對書法愛好的執著,及為達到互相砥礪及期勉之用意,自民國92年起即陸續於台北市、三峽、蘆洲等地發表作品,或與大同書法班同好共同展出。此次展出之新作,精采可期,歡迎各位前來參觀並不吝批評指教。

 



Among the four calligraphists, Shan-Fang Chang; Lai Tsai; Yu-Lin Huang; and Feng-Mei Shen, two of them are working in Tatung Company and the other two are the company's staff's family. Because all of them have known each other in the calligraphy class arranged by the company. Under the patient guidance of teachers, Yao-ming Wang and Ciou-siang Tsai, they have gradually practiced regular (kai), clerical (li), running (sing), and cursive (cao) scripts. Although they are busy in their career and housework at day time, they devote themselves to calligraphy at night time and on holidays.
The four calligraphists have good friendship. Their works have their individual characteristics. Mr Chang is good at sing and cao scripts; and his calligraphic work represents vigorous and unrestrained style. Being excellent at kai and sing scripts, Mr Tsai shows his dignity and steadiness in his work. Miss Huang's work is elegant and rhythmic; she can manage all the scripts very brilliantly. Miss Sheng's work demonstrates a simple and vigorous style; she is an expert at li script.
Because of their insistence and love for calligraphy as well as mutual discipline and encouragement, their works have been exhibited in Taipei City, Sansia, Lujhou, etc., and alongside people in the Tatung Calligraphy Class since 2003. This coming exhibition of new works will be excellent. We welcome all of you come to see this exhibition and we will appreciate your kind suggestions.

教育部文藝創作獎的舉辦,旨在提供文學藝術創作的園地、提升文化素養與心靈生活。今年本獎共徵選教師組戲劇劇本、短篇小說、散文、新詩、古典詩詞、音樂作曲以及學生組戲劇劇本、短篇小說、散文、詩詞、音樂作曲等11項,共評選出60件得獎作品。這次的展示內容皆節錄自得獎作品,誠摯歡迎您前來觀賞!
 



Ministry of Education Creative Literature and Arts Awards is organized to aim at offering a space for literature and art creations and enhancing cultural cultivation and spiritual life. This year, there will be a Teachers' Category, including drama playwriting, short story, prose, new poem, classical poems and music composition, and Students' Category, including drama playwriting, short story, prose, poem, and music composition. – which are 11 items of awards altogether. 60 pieces of works were selected as winners'. This exhibition will display these winners' works. All are welcome to come to see this exhibition.
